Police are concerned about the health and welfare of 18 year-old Tevita LEA'AETOA, an inpatient at Te Whetu Tawera who did not return to the hospital after two hours of unescorted approved leave from it on Saturday, April 28.

Tevita has not accessed any bank accounts in the past few days, nor has he made contact with family members.

He was last seen leaving the hospital grounds shortly after 11am on Saturday and was wearing a black tee shirt, long trousers and tan boots. He is Polynesian, about 180cm tall and of solid/fat build.

He has a tattoo on his left hand of the number "1", and a dot on his right hand.
He does not have any medication with him and his behaviour can be erratic and unpredictable at times.

Anyone with information about him should contact Constable Dale Blyde at Onehunga Police on 09 622 8718 or call Police emergency on 111.
