A Martinborough man is in intensive care in Wellington Hospital after an altercation at a Broadway Street property overnight. He is in a serious condition.
A 25-year-old male is in Police custody and will be appearing in court Monday the 29th October 2012 on an assault charge in relation to the incident.
Further charges are being considered.
Wairarapa Police are seeking information from anybody who was in the area around midnight on Saturday night as their investigation continues.
