Two properties in the Highbury area were searched by Police yesterday in connection to the shooting incident that occurred on 30 April.

Officer in charge of the investigation Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Sheridan said: "Palmerston North CIB executed search warrants on two Highbury addresses with the support of the Armed Offenders Squad yesterday."

"At this stage no arrests have been made, however some ammunition was found at one of the properties and it's in the process of being forensically examined.

"We have spoken to a number of people however we are still keen to hear from anyone that may know something about this incident.

"The residents of Highbury don't want this behaviour or offending in their comminuty and neither do we.

"I want to thank the comminuty for their support with this investigation so far, and I also want to reassure the community that we are committed to finding whoever is responsible for this serious offending."

Scene examinations have now been completed and the investigation is ongoing.
