Waitakere CIB Ask - Who Is This Man?

West Auckland Police have issued an image of a man whom they believe can assist them with their enquiries into a violent incident in Henderson at about 5.00am on Sunday morning the 29 June 2008.

In the incident a man believed to be armed with a knife has gained entry to the rear of business premises on Great North Road, Henderson. The male offender has assaulted two teenage occupants, a male and a female on site.

During the incident the male victim was rendered unconscious and the female was then sexually assaulted for a duration lasting about 30 minutes.

Detective Sergeant Sean Hyland-Mills of the Waitakere CIB says an alleged offender was seen in the Henderson CBD area prior to the attack. Police are hoping someone can identity the man, and lead them to his whereabouts.

Police previously released a description of the man they are seeking.

"We invite this man to contact us. He could have vital information that will enable our investigations into the brutal and violent assaults of these two young persons to be considerably advanced," Sean Hyland-Mills said
