Missing Man Found In Point Chevalier

Henderson Police advise that a 69 year old man who has been missing from his home in West Auckland for three days has been found in the Auckland suburb of Point Chevalier.

Brian Stanley JONES has been the subject of an extensive search by police since he left his home address in Don Buck Road, Massey, at about 3.25pm on Monday 25 August 2008.

Police say that as a result of a call received from a member of the public Mr. Jones was located at a bus stop in Great North Road, Point Chevalier at 11.30am this morning Thursday 28 August 2008.

The status of the man is such that he has small cut on his forehead which will require stitching and medical attention. He has been taken by ambulance to Auckland Hospital and after an assessment he'll be safely transported home.

Police wish to acknowledge the valuable assistance provided by both the media and general public in their ongoing search to locate this missing man.
