Aggravated Robbery - Wainuiomata Updated 2100hrs

At about 3.20pm on Tuesday 29th September a male entered a dairy on Coast road, Wainuiomata armed with a handgun.

He threatened the dairy staff with the handgun and left a short time later with some cigarettes.

No persons in the store were injured, but it is a very frightening experience for people fronting or witnessing such incidents. .

The offender is described as olive skinned, slim build, short/average height, wearing blue coloured hoodie, he was wearing a bandana over his face. He was carrying a black backpack.

Police are conducting enquiries to locate the offender, but would appreciate any calls from members of the public who saw the offender either before or after the incident.
