Arrests in Kinloch homicide

Police have today arrested four people in relation to the homicide of Scott John Henry at his home on Whangamata Road, Kinloch, near Taupo, on July 20th.

This morning six search warrants were executed across Taupo. Four people have been arrested in relation to the murder, three men in Taupo, and a woman in Auckland.

Two 25-year-old men and one 22-year old-man have been charged with murder and aggravated robbery. The 43-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated robbery.

The three men are set to appear in the Rotorua District Court tomorrow.  The woman will appear in the Counties Manukau District Court on Thursday.

Also arrested today, and related to the murder investigation, was a 35-year-old Taupo man who will be facing four serious charges relating to the supply of methamphetamine in the Taupo area.

“The investigation team has been working hard since July 20th to find those responsible for the death of Mr Henry,” says Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson, Bay of Plenty CIB.

“I appreciate that this has been a very difficult time for Mr Henry’s family and friends, and we are pleased we have been able to make these arrests and put these alleged offenders before the Courts.

“I want to thanks members of the local community who have come forward and contacted Police following our appeals for information, your assistance is much appreciated.”

As this matter is now before the Court Police cannot comment further.
