Homicide Investigation - Grey Lynn

Auckland City Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a 17 year old man in Grey Lynn last night.

The deceased's next of kin have been advised and a post mortem will be carried out today.

The death occurred following a fight outside a party at a Grey Lynn address just after midnight.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard says Police would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about the incident.

"We are interested to hear from anyone who was at the party or was in the area and saw what happened or the events leading up to the fight. We are currently speaking to a number of people in relation to the incident but we would like anyone else who witnessed the fight to come forward to assist the investigation."

No arrests have been made at this stage.
