Invercargill fatal crash appeal for informatiom

Police are appealing for information following yesterday’s fatal crash in Invercargill.

A 37-year-old woman died following the two car crash at the intersection of Newscastle and Clifton Streets at around 9.10pm.

The two cars were a green four door Subaru Impreza hatchback and a silver Kia stationwagon.

Six people were taken to hospital.

The 37-year-old woman was driving the Kia stationwagon.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

One person was taken to Christchurch Hospital where they remain in a serious condition.

The others were taken to Southland Hospital in moderate to serious conditions.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating and Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash.

Information is also being sought on the manner of driving of the Subaru earlier in the evening.
