A man has been arrested late this afternoon after reports that a person was in possession of a firearm earlier today in Martinborough
Local Police, assisted by the Wellington Armed Offender Squad, made the arrest north of Martinborough township after further sightings of the man were reported
No one was injured and the man is assisting police with enquiries
