Man found dead following Invercargill fire

A man has been found dead following a fire at an Invercargill residential property overnight.
 
Emergency services responded to a fire at a block of five flats in Tramway Road shortly after 1am.  
 
The deceased man was subsequently located in one of the flats.  
 
Police are currently in the process of identifying the man and locating his next of kin. 
 
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage and a fire investigator is currently on site.
 
Victim Support is working with those displaced by the fire.
