A 29-year-old woman who went missing while running in the hills near Wainuiomata at the weekend has been found safe and well.
She was found by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter around 1.5 kilometres from the Haurangi Hutt, in the Orongorongo Valley, about 2.5km from the original running course.
Police and Search and Rescue staff assisted the woman out of the bush. She is being assessed by paramedics but is understood to be in a good condition.
