Nelson Bays Police has released the name of the man killed in a road crash on SH60 at the Motueka River Bridge in the early hours this morning.
He was Benjamin Cecil Rhodes, aged 37 years, of Motueka, who was the driver of the light van.
Two passengers were injured and are in Nelson Hospital in a stable condition.
Inquiries are continuing into the circumstances and background to the crash.
