New Plymouth woman facing charges following search warrant

Taranaki Police’s Organised Crime Squad executed a search warrant at an address in New Plymouth on 25 June following concerns about cannabis being sold from the property.

One person was arrested, and items consistent with the supply of cannabis were located at the Coronation Avenue address.

A 30-year-old woman is next due to appear in New Plymouth District Court on 19 July on charges relating to possession and supply of a Class C controlled drug.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation, and information provided which led to Police making an arrest.

We would like to reassure the community that we take reports of this type of offending seriously and continue to focus on the harm drugs cause in our community.

Police would like to remind people to report crime and suspected offending crime to Police on 111 (if it is happening now) or 105 (if it has already happened).
