Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at an address in Kawerau last night.
Police were called to reports of a vehicle collision at an address on Onslow Street at 12.30am.
It appears the collision was a deliberate attempt to gain access to a commercial premises.
However, the building has then caught fire.
Two offenders ran from the scene, one of whom appeared to be injured.
