Police appeal for witnesses to Plympton Street firearms incident

Police are continuing to investigate a firearms incident in Plympton Street, New Plymouth on 30 March. 
 
A 21-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to the incident. 
 
He is remanded in custody and will reappear in New Plymouth District Court on 24 April. 
 
The victim, a 20-year-old man, remains in Waikato Hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
 
A vehicle stolen during the incident has been located by Police and is being forensically examined. 
 
Police would still like to hear from anyone who has information which could assist our investigation, who has not yet spoken to us.
