Waitematā Police have charged a woman with murder as a homicide investigation is launched into the death of a man in South Head this morning.
Police were called to a rural address in South Head at about 2am this morning following reports of a firearm being discharged.
At the rural address, Police located a 52-year-old male deceased.
A 37-year-old woman was subsequently located at the address and has now been charged with murder.
Police enquiries are still ongoing and a scene examination is currently continuing at the address.
The woman was due to appear in the Waitakere District Court this afternoon.
As this matter is now before the Courts, Police are unable to comment further.
