Police seek sightings of wanted man

James Arthur Matthew William Brown is sought by police

Christchurch Police are appealing for any information on the whereabouts of a man wanted in relation to domestic incidents over the past 48 hours.

The man is James Arthur Matthew William Brown, aged 47, of Christchurch.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Sarah Illingworth says although there is no threat to the general public, Brown is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Police believe he may have access to firearms.

Brown is wanted in connection with domestic incidents at two separate addresses in Woolston on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Nobody was injured in the incidents.

Anyone sighting him, or anyone who has information as to his whereabouts, should contact Police on 111 immediately, or the Christchurch Central station on (03) 3637400.

Information can also be provided anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
