Search warrant completed in Cromwell

1 min read

Southern Police today executed a search warrant on a Cromwell address today after police received information about a suspected clandestine laboratory.

There was no clandestine laboratory located at the address, however a 34 year-old male has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine and utensils. A female was also taken into custody for questioning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Blackie, Alexandra CIB, said it’s a great result when a search uncovers no sign of a clandestine laboratory as this shows there was no risk to the local residents.

“We take all relevant precautions when it comes to acting on information around alleged clandestine operations and, in this case, we are pleased with the result.”

Any members of the public who may identify people or places involved in illegal activities can call their local police station or information can be provided anonymously by ringing Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
