Police and emergency services are currently in attendance at a serious crash on SH35 (The Pacific Coast Highway).
The crash occurred at 5.30am between Waiapu Road and Waiau Road and one person has been critically injured.
It's unclear if anyone else has been injured and more information will be supplied when it comes to hand.
The road will be blocked for some time, and motorists are asked to avoid the area while emergency services are at the scene.
There may be delays.
