Police are currently attending a serious crash on the south-bound lanes of the Southern Motorway near the Market Road overbridge.
It occurred at 4.45pm and was between a truck and motorcycle.
The motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries and is being transported to hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and will attend the scene.
At this stage two south-bound lanes are currently open, however it is likely that furhter lanes will be closed.
Police advise commuters to avoid the area if possible.
