Two arrests in Gore

Gore Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to an incident at the BP Railway Esplanade on 4 June.
 
During the incident, the man is alleged to have presented a taser at another man, following an altercation between the two.
 
The 27-year-old Gore man was arrested yesterday and has been charged with unlawful possession of a restricted weapon and threatening a person. 
 
He is scheduled to appear in Invercargill District Court today.
 
Police would like to thank the Gore community for information provided to assist our enquiries into this matter.
 
An associate of the man, a 24-year-old Gore woman, was also arrested yesterday and has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop. 
 
These charges relate to an incident in Invercargill on 5 June, where the woman failed to stop after being signalled to do so by Police. 
 
The woman is scheduled to appear in Gore District Court on 15 June.
