Update: Homicide investigation, Palmerston North

The scene examination at a property on Dahlia Street will continue through the weekend, as Police conduct a homicide investigation.

Police were called to the property at around 10.25pm on Thursday 11 May after a man was seriously injured and subsequently died in hospital.

Today Police have been interviewing people who were known to be at the address last night and are working to identify others who were at the address.

Enquiries have established that the incident involved parties known to each other, and there is no information to suggest that there is an ongoing risk to the wider public.

Police continue to be interested in hearing from anyone who has information that could assist and in particular, any sightings of a vehicle leaving Dahlia Street at speed at around 10.15pm.

Anyone with information about the incident or those involved is urged to call Police and share what you know.
