Update - SH 29 crash

Emergency services continue to work at the scene of a crash on SH 29, Lower Kaimai, in Western Bay of Plenty.
 
A person injured in the crash has been transported to hospital.
 
A second person believed to have been in the car when it crashed has not yet been located.
 
A shoreline search is under way and the Dive Squad has been notified.
 
The road has been closed for the safety of those working at the scene but is expected to reopen shortly.
