Upper Hutt taxi driver attack

At approximately 2.00pm today, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old female handed themselves in to the Upper Hutt Police Station in relation to the attack of the taxi driver in Queen Street, Upper Hutt, early yesterday morning.

The pair are currently being interviewed by Police and will be referred to Youth Aid for a family group conference.

The Police inquiry is continuing and further CCTV footage is being reviewed. Due to the age of the young people, Police will not be releasing any of this footage.
