Weather continues to hamper search for German man

1 min read

The search for a German tourist in the Travers Saddle area of Nelson Lakes National Park is again being hampered by poor weather.

Search coordinator Senior Constable Dave Colville said it was likely teams could resume the search for Christian Ulf Erik Prehn, 19, on Wednesday, with the weather forecast to improve.

Meanwhile Police are still hoping to speak to anyone who has had contact with Mr PREHN, and in particular a German woman called Angela Bähr who is believed to have spoken with Mr PREHN at one of the huts.

Anyone with information that may assist this search should call Nelson Police, Ph 03 546 3840.
