Police in Auckland are investigating an alleged aggravated burglary on Oran Road, Panmure on Sunday 3rd March.

At about 2pm, the victim was working in his garage when he was approached by three unknown males. He was blindsided by one of the men and when he fell to the ground, he was repeatedly kicked by all three. The victim tried to escape and when he called out for help, the males left the scene. The victim was left with a fracture to his eye area and is still suffering from the attack.

The first male was described as:

  • Pacific Islander
  • 18-20 years
  • Approx 175cm / 5'8"
  • Medium build
  • Facial hair
  • Wearing a grey t-shirt and beige shorts

The second male was described as:

  • Pacific Islander
  • Approx 168cm / 5'6"
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a blue hoodie and black pants

The third male was described as:

  • Pacific Islander
  • 18-20 years
  • Approx 175cm / 5'8"
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black t-shirt and a small black bag

All three men were carrying beer bottles.

An hour later, a trio of young men allegedly attempted to rob a man near the Panmure train station. There were also three similar looking guys walking through the town centre just before this incident who have been captured on CCTV. Police are not saying that these males are involved in the Oran Road incident but they would really like to speak with them.

If you know anything that can help with the aggravated burglary or if you recognise yourself or any of the guys in the CCTV then Glen Innes CIB would like to hear from you.
