Police in Auckland are investigating an alleged aggravated robbery at La Fogata in Royal Oak on Saturday 3rd August.
 
At about 9pm, two men entered the restaurant and spent some time in the pokies area. The men went upstairs and asked for some $2 coins to be changed to notes. The bar worker obliged and when he opened the till the two men went around behind the bar and one of the men threatened the victim with a knife and the other emptied the till of a sum of cash.
They then left the restaurant and gone along Mt Albert Road in the direction of Pah Road.
 
The first man is described as:
  • 20-30 years
  • Approx 174cm / 5’8”
  • Medium build
  • Short black hair and facial hair
  • Wearing a grey hoodie with a black, white and orange ‘Puma’ vest over the top, black track pants and black sneakers with a white ankle.
The second man is described as:
  • 20-30 years
  • Athletic build
  • Black hair
  • Wearing a black cap with a circular logo on the front and an orange and red training style jacket.
Auckland Police would like to speak with anyone that has any information about this case.
