Police in Hamilton are investigating the death of 40-year-old father of three, Sao Young, whose body was found dumped in Gordonton in April. There are a number of crucial locations that relate to Sao’s final steps and will be key to finding those responsible.

At around 9:30pm on Thursday, 12th March, Sao was at a residential address on Insoll Ave in Enderley. Sao likely left this address on foot and Police believe that between 9:30pm and the following morning, Sao met his tragic demise.

On Monday 13th April, Sao’s body was discovered by a farmer on Ballard Road in Gordonton. Police believe Sao was killed at different location, and that his body was transported and dumped on the rural property

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a small, blue or silver “bubble-shaped” vehicle, possibly European in make, or the two occupants inside, who were seen around Ballard Road at around 7:15am on the morning of the 13th March.

Through the investigation, Police have discovered that Sao was previously involved in a violent incident that occurred in the vicinity of Enderley Park on Tuesday 3rd March at about 1am.

There were three motor vehicles in the area that may have valuable information:

Vehicle 1 described as:
A blue Ford Falcon Utility

Vehicle 2 described as:
A red coloured Ford XR6, the bonnet of which may be white.

Vehicle 3 described as
A black Ford Territory or Explorer-type vehicle.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information regarding this incident or the vehicles that may have been involved.

Sao Young was a beloved father and member of a large Cambodian family that calls Hamilton home. His family deserves answers. Anyone with any information is urged to contact Hamilton Police so they can bring Sao’s family some much needed answers.
