24 years after the death of Ashburton teenager Kirsty Bentley, New Zealand police are offering a $100,000 for material information or evidence leading to the identity and conviction of the person or people responsible for her death.

The afternoon of New Year’s Eve, 1998 Kirsty was last seen walking her dog. Two weeks later her body was found in the Rakaia Gorge.

Kirsty had a whole life to look forward to before it was cruelly stolen from her. Despite Kirsty going missing over 24 years ago, we urge anyone that might have vital information regarding this case to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 105 and referencing “Operation Kirsty”.
