Police are speaking with a 29-year-old Kaikohe man after being called to a domestic incident in the town today, where it is alleged that a firearm was involved.
Police sealed off a street in Kaikohe while searching for a person who was believed to be in possession of a firearm.
The man being sought by Police handed himself in at the Kaikohe Police Station.
Police enquiries into the incident are continuing. No-one else is being sought in relation to this matter.
