Retail Crime Prevention Hub
Retail crime costs New Zealand retailers $1 billion each year and has a significant personal impact on those working in the industry.
Police take all retail crime seriously. We recognise the impact of retail crime on business owners and staff. We are working with partners across the industry to reduce retail crime through our response and prevention work.
Fog Cannon Subsidy
The government has established new security funding to subsidise up to $4000 towards the installation of fog cannons for small retailers. This subsidy is being managed by MBIE not Police. More information on the scheme including an expression of interest form can be found on their website.
