Wairarapa Police are appealing for any sightings of two men who are wanted in connection with the homicide investigation into the death of Glen JONES.

Police believe that Kristofer JONES, 23, and Hayden RANSON, 27, have fled the greater Wellington area and are in the central or upper North Island.

Detective Inspector Sean Hansen says "These two men are wanted for aggravated burglary in connection with the brutal attack of Glen Jones.

"Warrants to arrest have been issued this afternoon by the Masterton District Court and Police would like to locate them as soon as possible.

"The public have provided significant assistance to the investigation so far and we are calling on their help once again to locate the pair.

"We believe they are driving a blue 1989 Mitsubishi Mirage, registration OE7854.

"Members of the public are advised not to approach them and should immediately contact Police.

"I can confirm that overnight we recovered three items from an industrial property in Lower Hutt which may have been used in the attack.

"There is obviously further forensic and enquiry work needed to determine if they were used in the attack.

Anyone with any sightings of these two men should make contact with Wairarapa Police on (06) 370 0300 or wairarapa.police@police.govt.nz.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111.
