Detectives Departing For Atlanta

1 min read

Two Auckland City police officers will leave today for Atlanta, Georgia where they will carry out US based enquiries as part of the ongoing investigation concerning Operation Patch.

The man heading the investigation Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Scott says the two detectives will be meeting with United States law enforcement authorities, and speaking with witnesses to Friday's arrest of Nai Yin XUE in Atlanta.

"Arrangements for the escorted return of Mr. XUE back to New Zealand are being managed by the authorities in the United States," he said.

"We're very comfortable with what has transpired so far in the proceedings. The level of cooperation being given to New Zealand Police by all the authorities in the United States is superb," Simon Scott said.
