One person has died following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorbike and a car on Rimu Street, near Nikau Street, New Lynn.
The crash occurred around 5:50pm.
One person was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
The road remains blocked as Police, including the Serious Crash Unit, conduct a scene examination.
Police are appealing for any sightings of a Harley Davidson Motorbike driving dangerously between Great North Road, Rata Street, and Rimu Street prior to the crash.
