Urgent media advisory

Media are invited to a media conference at Police National Headquarters this afternoon  regarding a police investigation into a significant issue.

The media conference will be preceded by a short "lock-up" period for journalists to read a number of background documents under embargo. 

No news stories or information regarding the contents of these documents may be published through any medium, including social media, until the embargo lifts at 3.45pm.

Attendance is conditional on acceptance of this arrangement. This is to ensure that all media have fair and equitable access to the information being supplied.

 

When:        3.15pm today (Media may arrive from 2.45pm to set up equipment)

 

Where:         Police National Headquarters, 180 Molesworth Street, Wellington. (Please wait at the ground floor reception where you will be met)

2.45pm          Media can arrive at PNHQ

3.15pm          Documents and statements issued under embargo.
