Central District Commander Superintendent Russell Gibson

Central Police District covers an area that stretches from the North Taranaki Bight, across to the Ruapehu District, south to Otaki in the west and across to the Tararua ranges in the east. Here's a map of the our district.

We have 54 police stations in the district with most of them being located in the rural heartland. Our district phonebook provides phone, fax and address details for each station.

The District Commander is Superintendent Russell Gibson. He's based in the Central District Headquarters located at Palmerston North.

Our aim is to provide an efficient policing service that's based on results. We believe our proactive approach to crime reduction and crime prevention helps reduce offending and victimisation, creating a happier, safer community.
