1 min read

A Waikato District Council dog control officer was taken to Waikato Hospital this morning after he was allegedly attacked by the owner of a dog he had previously destroyed.

The officer was driving in his car in Huntly at 7.30am today when the owner of the dog allegedly stopped him, pulled him from his car and punched him several times in the face.

The officer had shot the man's dog two days ago at a Huntly house. Police are currently speaking to a Huntly man about the incident.
