Man found seriously injured outside police station

Horowhenua Police are investigating the serious assault of a Foxton man on the night of Tuesday, 4 August.

At approximately 11pm on the 19-year-old was found unconscious outside Foxton Police Station.

He was suffering from serious head injuries and after being transported to Palmerston North Hospital has now been flown to Wellington's intensive care unit.

The identity of the victim has been established although next of kin are yet to be informed.

Police are now trying to establish how he came by his injuries.

Acting Detective Sergeant Johnny Oram is seeking help from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Foxton Police station around the time the man was found or from any persons who has information about what has happened to him.
