Police have released the name of a 37 year old male who died at the scene of a multiple car crash on the Southern Motorway on Good Friday.
The deceased man's name is:
MICHALAROS/ Alexis Gordon
DOB 05/08/1968 - Aged 37 years
Resident of Mt Eden - Auckland.
Police say the multiple car crash happened at about 9.45am yesterday, on a section of the motorway, close to the Takanini off ramp.
Two passengers, a male and a female, who were riding in the car being driven by the deceased, were among those who suffered both minor and moderate injuries, as a result of the six vehicle accident.
The female passenger is in a stable condition in Middlemore Hospital.
Her male partner has since been discharged.
The Serious Crash Unit is continuing its investigations.
