Tokoroa Police and Fire Service investigate fatal house fire

Tokoroa Police and the Fire Service are investigating the cause of a fatal house fire in Tokoroa this morning in which an elderly woman has perished.

The house fire in Tieke Place, Tokoroa, began in the early hours of Monday morning.

Two of the three occupants of the house managed to escape the fire.

The name of the deceased will be released once next of kin have been advised. This may take some time, as members of the family reside overseas.

At this time, Police have no further information available.
