Positive response to graffiti appeal

1 min read

Police investigating the murder of Scott Guy in Feilding have received a positive response to the latest public appeal.

Yesterday Police took the unusual step of releasing images of offensive graffiti which was painted on the home of Scott and Kylee Guy while it was in the process of being built in January 2009.

Since the release of the information the investigation team have received more than a dozen phone calls and a small number of additional reports via the Crimestoppers line.

Police will now follow up on that information to assess its relevance to the homicide investigation.

Police want to encourage the public to continue to ring the investigation team with any further information about the vandalism or anything else relevant to Scott's death.

Anyone with information can speak to a member of the investigation team directly on 0800 808585. Alternatively information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Media enquiries should be referred to Communications Manager Kim Perks on 027 234 8256.
