Christchurch Police have concerns over missing girl

1 min read

Christchurch Police hold fears for the safety of a seven-year old girl missing since last night.

Police say Taraipinie SKUDDER, aged seven, Maori, from Hoon Hay, was last seen at 5.30pm yesterday at the shops on the corner of Rowley Avenue and McCarthy Street.

She was wearing a red polar fleece top, black culottes and black boots, and was carrying a multi-coloured umbrella.

Police were hoping that she had spent the night staying with friends but as time goes on, concerns about her safety increase.

A search and rescue operation is now under way. Residents in the area are asked to check their properties for any sign of the missing girl.

Any sightings or information should be reported to Christchurch Police on (03) 3637400.
