Non-suspicious death, Waikato Hospital

Hamilton Police are currently in attendance at Waikato Hospital following the discovery of a man's body this afternoon.

Shift Manager, Senior Sergeant Andrew O'Reilly, said offers were called following the discovery of a man's body atop the roof of a corridor about 2.50pm.

"The man's death is not considered suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner who will determine the cause of loss of life."

The man's name will not be released today in order to allow time for next of kin to be notified.
