At 1.15pm today (18/02/2012) emergency services were advised that a Toyota Hilux had rolled on Harcourt Werry Drive in Lower Hutt. The Toyota was driving south on Harcourt Werry Drive and has drifted off the left side of the road, into a lamp post. This caused the Toyota to roll several times before coming to rest on its roof on the road.
The sole occupants was a 51 year old male from the Lower Hutt area. He suffered minor injuries and was transport by ambulance to Hutt Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by Police. Once this is done, Police will then decide if any charges will be laid against the driver.
