Auckland Police have initiated an investigation into the damage and desecration of headstones and graves in a Jewish part of a Karangahape Road cemetery.
Media reports say the damage appears to have occurred overnight but Police inquiries with the cemetery management and Auckland Council may enable us to get a more accurate estimate of when it was done.
