Christchurch Police speaking to man over peeping-tom incident

1 min read

Christchurch Police investigating reports of a man peering into a Mairehau house on Tuesday evening [22 January] say a person is now assisting them with their enquiries.

Police received a number of calls from members of the public following publicity yesterday over the incident, near Walter Park, including calls for information about a distinctive Toyota Hiace van.

Senior Sergeant Phil Dean says a 54-year old Christchurch man has come forward to police this afternoon and is assisting Police with their enquiries.

Investigations are continuing and no decision has yet been made on possible charges.
