Police are investigating a serious assault which occurred on Parkway in Wainuiomata on the 5th April 2013.
Detective Sergeant Richard ORR said that about 11:45pm that evening a 26 year old male was attacked by a small group of youths near the alleyway exiting Rata Street. It is believed that the people involved had recently left a nearby party.
During the attack the victim sustained a number of stab wounds requiring surgery. The victim is now in a stable condition in Hutt Hospital.
Detective Sergeant Orr would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who have information which may assist in identifying the attackers.
