Marie Davis Investigation

The body located in the Waimakariri River just north of Christchurch on the 17th April 2008 has now been formally identified as Marie Davis.

Marie's wallet was also located in the river and this has been positively identified as Marie's.

Marie was last seen alive at her home 2 weeks ago today, Saturday the 5th April, the weekend that the clocks were changed back for Daylight saving.

Since this time we have had no positive or confirmed sightings of Marie.

Tomorrow the 20th April 2008 members of the Police Investigation Team will be at the Jet Boat Ramp beside the Main North Rd Bridge and along the North bank of the river from 7.30 am to 12.00 midday. Detective Lomax will be at the Jet Boat Ramp Area coordinating the canvassing of persons frequenting the area.

The Investigation Team is very interested in speaking with anybody who was down at the river west of the Main North Road Bridge and in particular on the North Bank on the morning of the 6th April.
