Farm vehicle stolen

1 min read

William Stewart is believed to have stolen another vehicle in the early hours of this morning near Staveley. Just before 8am today Police were notified that a utility vehicle had been stolen from a farm in the area apparently at about 3am.

"A farm worker thought that he heard noises at about this time and it is possible that this is the time the vehicle was stolen," says Senior Sergeant Stu Munro.

The vehicle is a 2003 4WD Nissan Navara flat deck with sides, coloured green, registration no. OTIRA. The offender used the vehicle keys to start it.

Police believe that William Stewart is the offender for the taking of this vehicle as the Mitsubishi 4WD he had previously stolen from the Staveley area in the past two weeks was located in a paddock opposite the address where the utility was stolen from.

Members of the public are asked to contact Police immediately if they sight this stolen vehicle.

Police are continuing to make inquiries to locate Stewart. There are no Police searches of any areas in progress at this time.
